RCK Outreach on the ground

Our UK teams are still out on the ground, handing out delicious hot meals to whoever needs one. In this time fraught with financial uncertainty for so many people, it's great to be able to provide people with a consistent source of nourishing food.

Anyone who's been in the RCK kitchen or tasted our food knows that spices make our world go round. Our recipes call for everything from scotch bonnets and cardamom, to sumac and za'atar, so that our curries are flavourful and culturally familiar.

We are now back to cooking 2000 meals a day!

All the amazing groups on the ground are working together in our kitchen to help our team get this MASSIVE amount of food out daily. 

People in Calais are still reeling from the brutal evictions on the 10th of July, which continue to cause huge distress to the communities here. Water points were destroyed, government funded meals ceased, and refugees, who already had so little, were left with no food or shelter, being forced to carry what they can with them.

Return to Calais!

RCK are officially back in our Calais kitchen!!!! It's been an emotional time, but we are so happy to be back in our element, and ready to start the process of safely resuming service.

Because of the risks associated with Covid-19, we are starting off with a small core team to re-open the kitchen & assess the situation on the ground. We cannot currently accept new volunteers but we would REALLY appreciate your donations to help us get back on our feet
