Refugee Community Kitchen UK Outreach supports people in need with highly nutritious food cooked by loving professional cooks and chefs, working with local communities, using surplus food to serve meals to people irrespective of their situation and needs.
We pride ourselves in creating food for people in need that we would serve at our own tables at home. It's important for us to debunk the myth that if you are homeless or in food poverty you lose the right to receive healthy food that tastes great. So we do our best to use the freshest ingredients, cook everything from scratch and provide the most nutritious and welcoming food we can.
Our UK Outreaches in London and Edinburgh started in 2016 in response to the growing number of people in food poverty in our local areas, Each group has been started and run locally either by people cooking in their own homes or using local, professional kitchen spaces lent by owners & our local authorities.

Locations
We are very proud to say that by 2021 we are now providing food weekly in 6 different locations in Scotland and London.
In London, we are being supported by Camden Council/ Make & Do Partnership with a kitchen and work space where we cook 4 days a week for Camden Town, Archway and Goodge Street, We also cook in Hackney & Brixton.
RCK Edinburgh outreach started as a fundraising initiative for RCK Calais in 2016. Founded by Calais chef Morven, it is now a local food project running a weekly soup kitchen for people in food poverty as well as running social impact experiences teaching preservation techniques & local food traditions. Supported by Fareshare and Local Co-ops, they raise much needed funds with brilliant fundraising days in Pavilion Cafe in the Meadows.
Our Outreaches are committed to using surplus local produce to help people access warm nutritious food made with lashings of love.
Supporters
The bulk of our food is provided by the Felix Project who have taken on the mammoth task of collecting surplus food from supermarkets all over London and delivering it to groups like ours who can get it to the people who need it most. We also have local restaurants and food companies who bring along extras and special treats to our distributions.
For all our other needs RCK relies on donation from all walks of life, monthly standing orders from local working communities who want to support those less fortunate, from companies like Sobell Foundation, Lush Fund, Balcombe Trust and many more. Click here for more information on corporate and personal donating.
Our distributions bring communities together as well as allowing other groups and services to help the people we work alongside - StreetVets, Phytology _ Apothecary and many more.
RCK are always ready to help groups set up in their local area as well as working along side other services to improve the lives of the people we serve - email us to get involved.
