Gemma is raising £500 for Refugee Community Kitchen by cycling to Calais!

Last year I took a car full of donations over (thank you to everyone who helped with that) but this year I'm raising money by cycling over to Calais!

I've not really cycled for over a year so it will certainly be a challenge!! Any donation that you give will spur me on to reach my destination... once there, I will be volunteering in the kitchen for a week as, unfortunately, that is the only time I can spare at the moment.

The Media has long gone forgotten the people in Calais...I haven't and I don't want you to either!

Thanks for your support xx

Suzy is cycling 1050 miles

Hi! For those of you reading that don't know me, I'm Suzy. I have challenged myself to cycle from one end of the UK to the other, a journey of around 1050 miles.

"I cycle a bit, but I am really having to step up for this! I want to use the experience to push myself mentally and physically, and also to do some good in the world. Because of this, I would like to raise money for Help Refugees and Refugee Community Kitchen (RCK). Both of these wonderful organisations are based in Calais, and are some of the only sources of support, help and hot food that the refugees there are receiving. These people need our help, they are fleeing war and persecution and I believe it is our duty to help when our governments turn their backs. My goal is to raise at least £1 for each mile I will cycle. If I raise more I will be over the moon!" - Suzy

Gypsy Westwood's 12km Run For Refugee Community Kitchen

Gypsy Westwood and her friend Anna are training for 12km marathon that will happen on the 7th of April in Santa Eulalia.

"This sort of challenge is a great way to raise money. The Refugee Community Kitchen was started by some friends and they have put their all into it and really made a difference.
They have been cooking hot meals for over 2000 refugees everyday in Calais and Dunkirk. I believe we are one world. We are all humans.
The world is so full of inequality.
If we can make small differences we are doing at least something for humanity." - Gypsy
